The miraculous process
Boris Brodsky has always had enjoyment and admiration for the art of painting, especially involving both the creative processand the development of the works themselves. He is a self-taught artist, with guided training by renowned painters such as Alberto Davila and J. Camino, in Peru, and 2 years of art studies, basically in coloring, painting and printing, at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Architecture. His strength builds on essence of projection balance, harmony, and specially color, which he has mastered and expressed in his unique artistic creations.
Boris has devoted his time to study, investigate and research elements of nature that he has a passion for, and has blended expressions of his art via forms, textures and color, with his special and own formulas. He interprets and gives birth to abstract, unique and subjective creations of several types, and has mastered several tendencies of abstract expressionism, In monochromatic presentations, or with art presented in a contrasting polychromatic approach, that he blends in a harmoniousway, giving his paintings a personal touch. When it comes to texture and finishing techniques, he brings out great visual tact, interms of smoothness, roughness or special effects.
Certain elements of nature and history including the cosmos have tremendously impacted and influenced Brodsky’s work. Eachof these series has a different design concept and different meaning statements, some of them with a unique story or withhistorical messages. Amid the series or styles in his different art creations include:
a. Monoliths, which are forms using a version of pseudo statues, generally made out of carved stones, expressingstrength and power, with a tendency to become elements of worship for the natives. Brodsky starts this series usingthe founders of the Inca Empire, Mancco Capac and his wife Mamma Occllo.
b. Cosmos Series, presenting different versions of the stars, satellites, planets, in several contexts.
c. Regular Cubism, with his beautiful interpretation of it, and a form that Brodsky generates called
d. Prismatic Cubism, a clean-cut geometric version of Cubism.
e. Abstract Flowers, in great color combinations, giving them a sense of realism, with special textured effects.
f. Geometrical form Abstracts, a series in which Boris creates original shapes, and fills them with vibrant andharmonious shades of color.
g. Irregular form Abstracts, where he blends images, into curious elements of creative forms, that he then gives specialmeaning, with peculiar and harmonic color expressions.
h. Story Tellers, another unique series, by which Boris leads viewers through a world of interesting andcaptivating stories, fictional and real.

Awards
He was born in Peru, from Russian Jewish immigrants, lived there until 1982, and currently resides in Miami, Florida. Brodsky attended one of the best universities in architecture, the University of California, Berkeley, where he took the art courses, focusing on designing and painting. Since 1960, he part owned a Textile Printing Factory in Lima, Peru, where he gained much knowledge and experience in the field, which influenced his paintings. Working at the textile plant, he used to often go to Bergamo, in the northern part of Italy, close to Como, where also the best artists of the world gathered and lived to bring together the top art that existed.
Due to the more than 40 years of being in contact with the printing industry and more than 50 years painting, since 1962, he gathered a lot of experience and knowledge, that made it possible for him to manufacture some of his own exclusive colors, and to develop special techniques, for procedures and applications, both, in printing and painting. This, of course, gives him some advantages in being able to do certain things in an exclusive and unique manner. In as far as commercializing his art, it was done at his studio, privately, through galleries, and through special private benefit auctions, giving part of the proceeds for causes and people that are in need.
